The small cottage home was constructed using non-corrosive and wear-resistant building materials. The tiny cabin design was built with children in mind and designed to be accommodating and family friendly. The use of lots of white paint throughout this tiny cabin design makes the cottage feel much larger than it's 260 square foot floor plan. Along with the use of white paint, the light fixtures are also white which lends to the spacious feeling, and overall charm of the small cottage home.
The tiny cabin design was built using medium density overlay panel, also known as MDO panel. The MDO panel is a paintable surface that is with plywood that has a weather-resistant resin bonded overlay to the wood by heat and pressure. The weather resistant overlay, which has at least 27 percent resin content, resists water, wear, weather, and degradation. There is a similar building product with a more rugged, smoother surface that is called high-density overlay also known as HDO plywood.
